Marcel Dzama，加拿大當代藝術家，現居紐約。一向以具獨特用色的水彩畫聞名——讓人聯想起那些泛黃書頁上，老舊、祥和卻隱約奇詭的童話故事。同時被自然界和人性所啓發，人、動植物、制服等再平凡不過的材料，在他的作品中呈現了豐富的角色性格，以一種奇異的幻想重組，構築出戲謔荒誕的世界。

Marcel Dzama的藝術作品在國際上有相當活躍的展覽活動，並受到各地的博物館收藏。Puppets, Pawns, and Prophets是他2013年第一場在倫敦David Zwirner畫廊中的指標性個展。近年來，他將創作領域拓展至立體作品和影片，並且在多元藝術影響之下，發展出識別度極高的風格語言。

本次展覽展出受西洋棋啓發靈感的三支影片，以及透過人物、畫作、拼貼、立體透視和雕塑作品表現的木偶和面具。這些作品依然保有藝術家的風格性，用色更為強烈，不僅為觀眾帶來全新的媒材體驗，更看見了藝術家更多樣表達思想的方式。
